A safety and security system for the elderly using IOTs and wearables Guide : Prof. Pramod Khambete Collaborators : Tapan Kumar, Indrajeet Roy, Prasad Ghone
Everyday products in homes can interact with wearables and mobile devices to create a network of things that are aware of their context, i.e. Internet of Things. The concept project explored the use of mobile devices and wearables along with IOTs to solve safety and security problems for the elderly.
Brainstorming and Mindmapping
The team brainstormed on the various problems of the elderly in Rural and Urban Scenarios. A problem of safety and security was a recurring problem that emerged in the brainstorming sessions.
A holistic safety and security system for the elderly was conceptualized consisting of three parts, viz. A Smart Door, A Wearable Device and an intelligent home appliance system.
